Notice is hereby given that the City Council for the City of Quitaque will conduct a regular council meeting on Monday August 24, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. Meeting will be held at 106 N 1st Street.

CALLED MEETING AGENDA
- CALL TO ORDER
- PUBLIC COMMENT: Comments from the public to members of the city council concerning items on the City Council Agenda. People wanting to address the council should sign up prior to the meeting commencing. A five-minute time will be adhered to for those addressing their comments.
- Discuss and consider adopting the proposed tax rate of $.75911 per $100.
- Discuss and consider the resignation of Dustin Cagle as of August 28th and replace him as Water Superintendent.
- Discuss and consider adding Council Member Keisha Ruff and removing Luke Shannon as signatory on all city bank accounts.
- Discuss and consider employee raises and bonuses.
- Discuss and consider the need for adjustment of utility rates and fees, including water, sewer, and garbage rates; street maintenance; water meter deposit; trash trailer rental; water and sewer tap fees; lot mowing; backhoe usage rates; and residential plumbing.
- Discuss and consider the FY 26-27 budget and prepare it for approval at the regular meeting on September 18, 2026.
- Discuss and consider approving a professional services agreement with Underwood Law Firm to provide municipal legal services and authorize the Mayor or City Administrator to sign the contract.
- Discuss and consider the possibility of adopting an ordinance to limit R.V. parks in the city limits.
- Discuss and consider water purchase agreement to Grant Wheeler for an R.V. park.
- Discuss and consider appointment to replace Council Member Heidi Valdez.
- Adjournment.
